What do you think of these baby names?

I am thinking of naming my possible daughter Eleanor. There are so many nicknames - Ellie (my favorite) Ella, Elle, Ellen and Nora.

If its a boy I am leaning towards the name Sullivan. I would use the name Sully.

What do you think of these baby names?
I like both names. They are both great old fashioned names that people have forgotten about.
Reply:Well.... I know a girl named Eleanor.

And she is actually mentally retarded.

I'm not being funny or trying to joke.

I'm being completely honest..

So, that kind of makes me ify about the name.

And Sullivan? Isn't that a name of Finding Nemo or something?

Try to pick something RLY unique.

Even If you want to pick a simple name, Spell it very uniquely.

Like my name is Marizza.

Marissa, but minus the SS, plus the ZZ
Reply:I think Eleanor is gorgeous with the Ellie, Ella, or Elle nicknames. Ellen %26amp; Nora aren't bad nicknames, but they are very independent.

Sullivan is not a favorite, I am biased because my brother in law's last name is Sullivan and since he and DH have the same name, we call him Sully and he is a jerk.
Reply:I'm not too fond of Eleanor, but it does have some adorable nicknames. Same goes for Sullivan, Sully is wicked cute and all but you should take into consideration the potential for teasing. I prefer Oliver, myself. Ollie is a cute pet name and it's not used excessively.
Reply:i love love love Eleanor...... Nora would be my fave nickname for it but Ellie is cute too!!!

Sullivan is really cute as well. Although i wouldnt use it personally!!! Sully is really cute but i dont know how masculine it is. seems like a geeky name if that makes sense but i def like Sullivan!!!

goodluck
Reply:i like both nmaes with Eleanor I also liove Ellie and with Sullivan i dont like Sully i would probably use Ivan it sounds better to me and it is not something he would get picked on for.
Reply:I'm not fond of Sully either, just because the word means "to dirty or spoil". Maybe you could nickname him Van?

Eleanor is beautiful and I like the nickname Elle the best.
Reply:Eleanor is good and its nice that is has so many easy nicknames...

Sullivan is unusual... but makes me think of the blue guy from Monsters Inc. sorry.... =]
Reply:Eleanor is adorable but I have to personally disagree with you on Sullivan.

Good luck :)
Reply:For Eleanor, I very much prefer Eleane...

As for Sullivan, maybe...Ivan?

I sure hope my answer will be of some use to you. Good luck!
Reply:I like Eleanor!!!! : D
